The faculty of the Department of urology from the Institut Mutualiste Montsouris (IMM) is a pioneer in laparoscopy and robotic surgery since 1998.

Specificities of this course

The dissection is conducted on fresh cadaveric model with the da Vinci® Si Dual console also equipped with the simulator, in order to accomplish unique training experience

Target Audience

Team approach: Two or three surgeons +/- scrub nurse

In order to take full benefit of this course, the trainees should have already attended a basic training on the da Vinci® and performed at least 10 robotically assisted urological procedures.

Mentored learning experience

The da Vinci® Si Dual Console and the simulator as well as the da Vinci® S HD are available at the Ecole Europeenne de Chirurgie.

Very early, in 2002, the Ecole Europeenne de Chirurgie has organized trainings on the da Vinci® and became in 2009 one of the International training center for Intuitive Surgical.
